How It Works

Parsers turn your files into facts, rules check the facts, and every result tells you why.

  1. STEP 01

    Connect

Connect your server or upload diagnostic information.

Add the address, link Pterodactyl with your own API key, or paste server.properties, your plugin list, proxy config and latest.log.

  2. STEP 02

    Scan

    Tickhound runs its checks.

Your files are read, DNS and a few ports you listed are tested, and each check compares what it found with what it expects.

  3. STEP 03

    Detect

    Problems are categorized by severity.

Each finding is Critical, Error, Warning, Info or Good, grouped into Performance, Plugins, Network, Security, Configuration and Compatibility.

  4. STEP 04

    Understand

    See what caused the problem.

A plain-language explanation comes first. Expand a finding for the detected value, the expected value and the evidence behind it.

  5. STEP 05

    Fix

    Get clear recommendations.

Every finding ends with a concrete next step and a link to the documentation. Rescan to confirm the fix, then keep watching with monitoring.

Predictable

The same input always gives the same answer. Every rule is listed on the Diagnostics page.

Clear about gaps

Checks without data are skipped, not counted as passed. Sample data is always labelled.

Check the fix

Rescan to confirm it worked, then use monitoring to catch the next problem early.
